Kiar was rescued in October 2021.
Kiar was rescued during a mass killing of street dogs in Chefchaouen. He was still a puppy when dog catchers had already begun killing the dogs around him. We arrived just in time to free little Kiar from the truck and bring him to safety.
Kiar is a small middle – sized, gentle dog with a shy and sensitive nature. While he can be cautious with new people at first, he genuinely likes humans and slowly opens up when given patience and kindness. Kiar gets along very well with other dogs and has never caused any problems in his kennel. He especially enjoys playing and socializing with female dogs.
Kiar is familiar with walking on a leash and enjoys going for walks. With encouragement and a calm environment, his confidence continues to grow. Once he feels safe, Kiar shows his affectionate side and loves cuddling with his caregivers. He is a beautiful, loving dog who simply needs a little help to come out of his shell.
Kiar was likely born in June 2021. Although he has adapted to life at the refuge, it is clear that this is not where he truly belongs. Kiar is waiting for someone who will show him that life can be gentle and that people can be trusted. Perhaps you could be the one to give him that chance.
