One thing you must be aware of is that we don’t primarily search for volunteers for a “cultural exchange”. Our whole project isn’t necessarily meant to be “fun”. It’s meant to save the lifes of many dogs – and that’s just not always fun. Therefore if you come to us to help us there will be some tasks that have to be done. Others will be voluntarily. Sometimes it will be hard but if you really aim to help dogs it won’t feel like work for you and it will fulfill you.
In the following list you will see some examples of the daily or weekly tasks you will have. The list is supposed to help you to anticipate what you can expect of your stay. One thing you can definitely expect is getting dirty – that’s a given.
Our accommodation is relatively simple. We’re not living in luxury but rather native. There’s one room for volunteers with a bed and cabinets. We do have electricity – it is obtained by a diesel generator – however we cannot use it all the time due to the enormously high costs that would arise. We also don’t have an european – standard bathroom. Yet we do have warm water. So after an exhausting but also successful day you can warm your body with a hot shower and our beldis will warm your heart. Our accommodation is located next to the kennels so you will be able to cuddle our doggys all night long.
Besides that we’ve also got a caravan in which volunteers may sleep.

We want to thank all the volunteers that have already come to our refuge and supported us. Together it is so much easier to accomplish projects. We can gurantee you from our volunteers’ feedback that it’s so fulfilling to lie in bed at night and look back at all the tasks that are successfully completed.
