„Rough Diamond“
Emmie came to us in June 2023.
Emmie was rescued during the mass killings of street dogs in Chefchaouen. She had already been taken by dog catchers when we were able to intervene just in time and free her from the truck, saving her from certain death.
Despite this traumatic start, Emmie has grown into a lovely young dog with a gentle and friendly nature. She has adapted well to life at the shelter, settled into her kennel, and formed bonds with dogs she knows. Emmie enjoys human company but can be a little insecure when meeting new people or unfamiliar dogs. With calm handling, patience, and a respectful approach, she slowly relaxes and begins to trust.
Once Emmie feels safe, she shows her affectionate and loyal side and enjoys closeness with her caregivers. She is a kind-hearted dog who simply needs a bit of time to feel comfortable in new situations.
Emmie was likely born in March 2023. She would thrive in a calm home with people who understand that confidence grows through kindness – a place where she can continue to develop at her own pace and finally feel secure.
