“Our Loyal bear”
Chichou was rescued in May 2020.
Chichou once had an owner, but sadly he was treated terribly. Most of his life, he was tied up with a rope and completely neglected. When we found him, he was covered in ticks, suffering from open sores, and had lost all trust in humans. He also had a mutilated paw, which left him with a permanent limp – another visible reminder of the life he endured before his rescue.
Chichou is a strong-minded, stubborn little character with an incredibly big heart. Trust does not come easily to him, but once it is earned, he is deeply loyal. He is a dog who knows his boundaries and clearly communicates where and how much he wants to be touched. Chichou enjoys cuddles and closeness, but only in gentle doses – something that deserves respect rather than pressure.
With patience, time, and understanding, there is still so much potential for him to grow. In a shelter environment, it is difficult for dogs like Chichou to form the deep bond they truly long for. Those who know him well describe him as funny, endearing, and full of charm – a dog who quietly steals hearts in his own unique way.
Chichou was likely born in March 2019. He would thrive with someone who values individuality, respects boundaries, and is willing to build trust step by step – a connection that would be all the more meaningful because of it.
