„Calm, Gentle And Independent“
Maukje came to us in October 2021.
Maukje was rescued from a mass killing in Chefchaouen along with many other dogs. Fortunately, we were able to bring Maukje to safety in time and she escaped a terrible fate. On the streets she was loved by many locals.
Maukje is a very calm and gentle dog. There is an old soul within her. Maukje is independent, and when she is alone, she simply lies down to sleep. She is very content and a wonderful dog for any family. In her kennel, Maukje is never stressed and is respected by everyone. She has no fear of people and loves to be petted, though she is not clingy. Unfortunately, she is often overlooked because she doesn’t push herself into the spotlight. This speaks to her lovely and relaxed nature. Maukje is highly valued by the team, and everyone likes her. It is unfortunate that no one has noticed her yet and wanted to adopt her.
Maukje was likely born in August 2020 and is waiting for her chance to be seen.
