From the Streets to Safety
Beldi Dog Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue based in the heart of the Rif Mountains, in the Chefchaouen region of northern Morocco. We are the only local rescue organization in this area. For many dogs here, we are their only chance to survive.
Our rescue and shelter are run by our Moroccan association, carrying out the daily work on the ground, often in very challenging conditions. To make this possible, we work closely with our German partner association, Beldi Dog Rescue Verein e.V.
The Verein helps fund food, medical care, and vital support for the dogs who depend on us every single day.
We are also proud to be an official partner association of VETO Tierschutz, whose support strengthens our mission and helps us reach even more animals in need.
Be Part of the Change
In a country where animal welfare laws are still largely absent, countless dogs are left to suffer on the streets, injured, starving, or abandoned. Every week, we take in dogs who have been hit by cars, abused, or left to die.
Our daily work is carried out by a dedicated team of Moroccan and international helpers who care for the dogs on site. We are further supported by volunteers from around the world who join us through Workaway, assisting with daily care, rehabilitation, and shelter operations.
Each life matters. And with your support, we can keep fighting for every single one of them
