What Volunteering Means
Volunteering with us is not about tourism or cultural exchange – it’s about saving lives.
Our work can be emotional, challenging, and sometimes exhausting – but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
Every single day you’ll see the difference your help makes, and you’ll go to bed knowing that a dog is safer, healthier, and happier because of you.
You don’t need to be a professional – only reliable, compassionate, and ready to get your hands dirty.
Typical Tasks
Life at the refuge changes every day. Here are some examples of what you may do. Whether you’re walking a dog, comforting a shy one, or helping build a new fence – every action you take truly matters.
Walking, playing, and socializing with our dogs
Taking photos and videos for our website and adoption posts
Helping train dogs to prepare them for adoption
Cleaning kennels and maintaining living areas
Washing and organizing dog blankets and bedding
Assisting with treatments and caring for sick or injured dogs
Helping with emergency rescues and transport
Supporting small construction or repair projects
Accommodation
You’ll have a bed in a shared room and receive one free vegan meal per day.
Our accommodation is very rural and simple, without European standard, and located just a few walking minutes from the refuge.
It’s not about comfort – it’s about connection, purpose, and helping lives that depend on us.
