Sonia was rescued in March 2023 from a large garbage site in Chefchaouen. While she was sleeping among the trash, a heavy truck ran over her, leaving her with a severely crushed leg and in unbearable pain, alone and without help.
Thankfully, a local person informed us, and we rushed to rescue her. Little Sonia underwent emergency surgery, and her damaged leg had to be amputated to save her life.
Since then, Sonia has completely transformed. She healed, gained confidence, and grew into a happy, strong, and playful young girl. Despite everything she went through, she never lost her spirit.
As a three-legged dog, finding a home is not easy. Many people overlook dogs who are different. But Sonia proves every day that she is full of life and love, and we hope that someone reading her story will see how special she is — and choose to give her the beautiful home she deserves.
