Rambo came to our refuge in 2020 after a local from Wedlau informed us about a dog who had been abandoned and was suffering alone on the streets. When I went to find him, I discovered a dog in heartbreaking condition.
He was severely malnourished, suffering from advanced mange, and completely exhausted. Rambo seemed deeply sad and lonely — lying still, staring into the distance as if he had lost all hope.
I gently put a leash around his neck and guided him to the car. Despite everything he had been through, Rambo was calm, kind, and trusting.
The next day, Leeny brought him to a clinic where he was diagnosed with leishmaniasis. After intensive treatment and dedicated care, Rambo slowly recovered. He regained his strength, his beautiful coat, and his joy for life.
Not long after, people in France saw his story and chose to give him the home he had always deserved. Today, Rambo is living a happy and peaceful life with his new family in France.
