Pino

Pino was rescued in April 2024 from a busy street in Chefchaouen. He was suffering from advanced TVT and surviving alone, hiding from people in fear. Terrified and mistrustful, he avoided human contact — it was clear he had never experienced gentle hands or kindness before.

Leeny found Pino by chance and knew immediately that without help he would not survive much longer. The cancer had already spread across his body and grown over his eyes, leaving him in a critical condition.

Rescuing him was only the beginning. Building trust took patience, and his recovery required intensive chemotherapy and constant care. Slowly, Pino began to heal — and against all odds, he made a full recovery.

Today, Pino is safe, but his journey is not over. Like many street dogs, he doesn’t fit society’s “beauty standards,” and his timid nature means he is often overlooked. Yet behind his quiet eyes is a gentle soul who deserves the same chance as any other dog.

We hope Pino’s story inspires someone to look beyond appearances, to see his strength, and to give him the loving home he has always deserved.
