Fridolin came to us in 2022 after being abandoned in front of our refuge. His legs had been tied together, and he was screaming in agonizing pain when we found him. One of his legs had already been severely injured, and seeing him in this condition was truly heartbreaking.
We took him in immediately and provided urgent first aid. A few weeks later, Fridolin underwent an amputation, as the damage to his leg was too extensive to save it.
Despite everything he had endured, Fridolin adapted remarkably well. He began to thrive, showing an incredible will to live. Even though he also suffered from an old fracture and arthritis in his remaining front leg, he was simply happy to be alive — and happy to be safe with us.
Fridolin’s story is a powerful reminder of how resilient and kind-hearted dogs can be. Their strength, trust, and gratitude never cease to amaze us.
Today, Fridolin has found his forever home and lives happily in the Netherlands.
